SHERIDAN, WYOMING - December 8, 2025 - ANGA COM 2026 is positioning itself as a central meeting point for Europe's broadband, media and connectivity ecosystem, adding new formats for municipalities, in-house networks and interactive round tables while confirming Federal Minister for Digital Transformation and Government Modernisation Dr. Karsten Wildberger as keynote speaker at the opening in Cologne on May 19, 2026.
Federal Minister Headlines Gigabit Summit at Opening
Federal Minister Dr. Karsten Wildberger will open ANGA COM 2026 with a keynote address and then join the traditional Gigabit Summit, where CEOs of leading German telecommunications companies debate the sector's most pressing challenges. His early confirmation underscores ANGA COM's role as a high-level platform where policy, regulation and industry strategy meet, bringing together the broader telecommunications sector with the digital media world.
The exhibition and conference will run from 19 to 21 May 2026 in Cologne, Germany, continuing its positioning as Europe's leading show for broadband, media and connectivity. With more than 500 exhibitors and 22,000 participants at the last event, the 2026 edition aims to further strengthen its appeal to network operators, vendors, content providers and investors.
New Theme Day Municipalities Focuses on Fiber Roll-Out on the Ground
A major innovation next year will be the dedicated "Theme Day Municipalities" on Thursday, 21 May 2026. On this third day, leading municipal network operators will discuss the practical opportunities and challenges of fiber optic roll-out, bringing local perspectives directly into the conference program.
Topics will include network resilience, data centers, digital sovereignty and broadband subsidies-areas where municipalities, utilities and regional operators play a decisive role in turning national gigabit strategies into real-world infrastructure. For international visitors and investors, the format offers a direct line to project owners who are deploying fiber in cities and regions across Germany.
International FTTH Summit and New Interactive Round Tables
To complement the municipal focus, ANGA COM will also reactivate and expand its "International FTTH Summit" on 20 May, a format last held in 2023. This summit is designed specifically for visitors from abroad and the investor community, providing a compact view of international fiber-to-the-home strategies, business models and deployment experiences.
In parallel, the new "ANGA COM Round Tables" will launch as an interactive conference feature. These small-group sessions will bring together innovation leaders, moderators acting as "table captains" and selected industry partners for focused discussions on particularly practical topics. The goal is to foster deeper, peer-level exchanges than are possible in large plenary sessions. Details on themes and participation requirements will follow in early 2026.
In-House Networks Move into the Spotlight with Dedicated Showroom
One of the central technical themes of ANGA COM 2026 will be the roll-out of in-house networks. In German multi-dwelling units alone, more than 20 million homes offer potential for fiber upgrades inside buildings. To address this, the "ANGA COM Showroom In-house Networks" will make its debut in the central foyer in front of hall 8.
The special area will give operators, the housing industry, service providers and installers a compact, hands-on overview of integrated in-house solutions "from the basement to the apartment". Exhibitors can demonstrate end-to-end concepts that combine building entry, vertical cabling and apartment connectivity, supporting both technical decision-making and discussions with policymakers, regulators and media representatives.
Strong Early Bookings and Accessible Ticketing Model
Demand from exhibitors is already strong: more than five months before opening, bookings have reached around 80 percent of the 2025 stand space, and stand allocation in both exhibition halls is in full swing. Companies can still secure space via the ANGA COM website, with plug & play packages for high-quality, fully equipped stands starting at 5,550 euros plus VAT.
Visitor registration for exhibition and conference is now open online. Exhibition-only tickets start at 25 euros, while participation in the regular conference program is available from 140 euros. A young professionals ticket for attendees under 30 years remains available at 40 euros. On Thursday, 21 May 2026-the Theme Day Municipalities-participation in both exhibition and conference is completely free of charge, supporting broader access for municipal stakeholders and smaller organizations. On-site ticket counters will not be available; all registration is handled digitally.
Summing up the ambitions for 2026, ANGA COM CEO Dr. Peter Charissé said the presence of Federal Minister Wildberger and the new formats will make next year's show "more practical, more interactive and more international than ever before."
